I am a Kent based artist specialising in pen sketching and watercolour painting, traditionally known as pen & wash.
I was a practising architect for 25 years, working with Richard Rogers as a Partner at his architectural practice in London. I had the opportunity to work on a number of very interesting built projects including The Channel 4 Headquarters, Montevetro Residential Building and Tower Bridge House all in London. Other built projects include The Minami Yamashiro Elementary School in Kyoto, Ashford Retail Outlet Centre in Kent and the BBVA Bancomer Headquarters Tower in Mexico City which opened in 2016.
Throughout my career I have particularly enjoyed developing architectural ideas and the visual expression of communicating those ideas through drawing. The ability to draw is very much part of the architectural process from early conceptual ideas to final building details and this has naturally led me to focus on pen sketching and watercolour artwork. Pen & wash has always been my passion and has now become the sole focus of my creative work
